This virtual 3 peak challenge is dedicated to the memory of Gordon Hannington, who passed away in 2019 following a lack of aftercare provision after he battled testicular cancer. It is made up of the equivalent distances, and ascents of 3 mountains that held a special meaning to him. The last mountain he climbed with his family, Cadair Idris. His favourite peak in the UK, Great Gable. A mountain he climbed as part of work with Mountain Rescue, a cause he was passionate about, Goatfell. It's no accident that these mountains fall one in England, where he made his home. One in Scotland, where a lot of his heritage was from, and the nation he represented in sport. One in Wales, Snowdonia, the home of Bala Lake, the Awen and his source of spirituality.  As part of Jarl Halfsac's Geocostnes we are auctioning off the last 5 bottles of original recipie Jarls Mead. The mead will be sent directly from Lancashire Mead Company , and as such there will be a postage fee to be paid in addition to your bid amount. You can of course choose to add more bottle from their range to maximise use of this postage cost. You can sumbit your bid by completing this form, the top 5 bidders will each recieve one bottle following payment of the bid and confirming their delivery with Lancashire Mead Company. The top 5 bids and bidders will be updated and broadcast through the live event over on out Facebook and YouTube channel.

This 10.7km can be completed virtually on any route or treadmill, or if you live in the North East you can take in two historical roman sites and part of the River Tyne Trail. The run takes you from Arbeia in South Shields, to Segedunum in Wallsend. You can view the route map here .
